The firm was originally established by the principles Tom Tamayne, John Lucas, and Don Barone, in order to provide more complete service capabilities to our clientele without profit responsibility to outside ownership.  The primary motivation was our prior experience of working on projects until the billable hours were consumed and then being unable to complete the required client service requirements due to profitability impacts.   Subsequent to the passing of John Lucas, the firm continues to provide excellent design services to our clients, however, our electrical engineering services are subcontracted out as required. 

TJD Engineering provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression engineering to our clientele in projects ranging from new construction to renovation of existing facilities.  In addition we provide construction administration services on projects for which we have provided design services.  TJD also has an extensive list of outsourcing personnel utilized as required to react to client needs that may exceed our in-house capabilities.

At TJD we pride ourselves in providing personal attention to our Clients and we believe that the small size of our firm enables us to tailor our efforts to the precise needs of the client while allowing us the flexibility to react to continuously changing Client needs.

The personnel in TJD have amassed extensive experience in Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Design in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities both with TJD and with other firms.

Our clientele are primarily end-users and building owners but also include other design firms such as architects and engineers.  In addition, we provide significant design services to multiple mechanical, electrical and fire suppression contractors.
